Oursignal

Oursignal is one of my favorite sources of information, you get a loaded page, full of links to the trending topics in a digg, reddit, del.icio.us, hackernews and yahoo buzz, this really makes it easy o find web treasures :-)

When I'm scanning the oursignal I get the loved feeling of going throw an old box full of great stuff that I just found in my grandmothers attic, and this is a feeling I LOVE!!! It’s like a flea market of stories :-)

Self Awareness

Custom link shortening

Do you know (and use) the link shortening services?

Bit.ly, TinyUrl, Is.gd, ow.ly, su.pr and the rest of the bunch?
Well guess what they can offer better service& make some money and they don't realize it.
I'll share my idea, you guys spread it… :-)

Let's say I have a twitter account and I use bit.ly, obviously I want to get the maximum exposure to tweets. I write a wonderful, full of great content and keywords article in my site, give it great headers, and a URL with the keywords in it.

Every user will be able to tweet "#username_link" or "# username _note" or "# username _todo".
any tweet starting with one of these hash tags will be stored in the users private folder, where he can chose if to make them public or not.

What is this good for?

Let's say you are on twitter and you want to remember some idea you have, just tweet: "#_note shoes that deify gravity".

The power of transparency

These guys decided to start up, they have an old – new idea, transparency, every thing is out in the open, decisions, strategy, technologies.
I'm a great believer in transparency, that's the way I work, learn and lead my life, I think that the more people have access to info the better, less power in one place, less secrecy, and more ideas.
Of course the famous "Sunlight Is the Best Disinfectant" saying always stands.

I know this site is something special, actually something Sublime, but this exceeds even my wildest dreams.

I was busy logging in to my sublime directory when the bottom right corner of the screen caught my eye, my login page, has a Page Rank of 7, this is weird…

Topsy Social Web Search

Today I wish to introduce you a cool search engine, I know these pop out lately every to seconds, but I really like this one, it's not as slow as the rest of the gang when it comes to refresh it's results, meaning you won’t get the same page every day.

Flat Organization

I'm currently reading "Revolutionary Wealth" by Alvin and Heidi Toffler, it made think a lot and really opened my mind and eyes to the changes the world around me is undergoing.

I can't say I understand 50% of there ideas, but even less then that is enough to make this book amazing and me thinking... :-)

So I thought of flat organizations, and these are some ideas I came up with:

Mozilla Prism

The new Mozilla prism is a beginning of a new era on the web, you don’t have to use a browser any more, the desktop and web are closer then ever.

Change any web page into an application.

You can have an icon of your favorite site on your desktop thus eliminating the need to open your browser. I know it sounds a bit useless, but believe me it's another step towards a virtual desktop.

You can download it as an add-on to your Firefox browser or as a part of your operating system.
